New era in waste management

Learn more about IMT - Innovative Microwave Technology - and discover the possibilities that it provides for an environmentally friendly and efficient method of waste disposal and purification of the atmosphere.

At the heart of technology

The microwave reactors are the main element of IMT technology. It is in them that key processes take place to enable waste disposal. Depending on their type, you should choose the right reactor type of the two available.

GC-type reactors

The abbreviation GC is derived from the term “gas cleaning”. This is because such reactors are designed to dispose of harmful or noxious compounds contained in emission gases.

SU-type reactors

SU is short for Solid Utility, or Solid Waste Disposal. These types of reactors are designed to dispose of solids and liquids, reducing their weight by up to 99%.

Microwaves – macro benefits

Regardless of what type of reactors are used, IMT provides users with a number of benefits from both economic and environmental perspectives.

MOBILITY

The components of the systems are located in adapted containers delivered to the installation place or relocated as needed.

SCALABILITY

Thanks to their modular design, the systems can be developed as the users' needs grow or change.

SAFETY

The systems we build are monitored and remotely supported 24/7 and secured with security protocols.

ZERO-EMISSION

The IMT technology is fully electrically powered and meets the most stringent standards for harmful and noxious waste emissions without emitting any environmentally harmful compounds.

GREEN ENERGY

Following the execution of purification or disposal tasks, the technology generates “green heat or electric energy”.

FAST RETURN ON INVESTMENT

The IMT technology represents one of the most feasible business models available to the waste management industry.

Choosing IMT is a step toward sustainability and a circular economy. Make it together with SMALLTHINGS, using a system tailored to your needs.

SYSTEMS OFFERED

Explore the SMALLTHINGS product range.

Gas treatment:
SMALL_AIR

The system was developed based on a GC-type reactor. It is the MOR reactor (Microwave Oxidation Reactor).

Using the reactor characteristics, SMALL_AIR focuses on purifying gases from harmful compounds and dusts, such as CnHm, CO, or SO₂, among others, while reducing CO₂ and NOx emissions.

Odor treatment:
SMALL_SMELL

The system was developed based on a GC-type reactor. It is the MTR reactor (Microwave Thermal Reactor).

Using the reactor characteristics, SMALL_SMELL focuses on treating flue gases from noxious odors, emitted at sites such as waste-water treatment plants, poultry and cattle farms, asphalt and bitumen plants, biogas plants, etc.

Waste Disposal:
SMALL_WASTE

The system was developed based on an SU-type reactor. It is the MUR reactor (Microwave Utilizing Reactor), also referred to as a “rotating drum”.

SMALL_WASTE creates a complete MTL (Microwave Thermal Line) process line, enabling the physical disposal of solids, making it possible to reduce up to 99% of their mass.

The system works well in places that generate or store large amounts of waste that need to be disposed of, such as hospitals (medical waste), tire dumps, or industrial plants operating under a “no waste” policy.

Checks and testing:
TEST_FILTER and TEST_DRUM

Both solutions allow us to see how microwave treatment affects the gases or solid waste present at the facilities of a potential client.

In the case of TEST_FILTER, a small reactor is used that combines the capabilities of MTO and MTR reactors – i.e. GC-type reactors that enable the purification of gases from nuisance compounds and odors.

TEST_DRUM, on the other hand, is a small SU-type rector, i.e. “rotating drum”, designed to treat solid waste.
